A Summer of Experience

Keystone Funding, a mortgage and realty group has introduced me into a new level of business knowledge, something I feel can never be taught in a classroom. I have spent about half my summer interning here and I can truly say I enjoyed the experience. On my first day, I was very nervous, I did not know what to wear or how the company members were going to treat me. I put on a smile and was ready to take on anything. Luckily they are extremely nice here and made me feel apart of their team within the first week. I trained with Heather, one of  Keystone Funding’s mortgage consultants and then I was more so on my own!

One of my first task was to become Familiar with their technology system known as Sales Force, for those who do not know about this, it is a very beneficial tool to maintain and organize clients, contacts, leads, ect. Since I am following the account management track, I gave this a great deal of attention because in a year or so I hope to be managing my clients accounts through Sales Force for different purposes. Through Sales Force, Keystone funding Created Argos, this is where they track and record their advertising and marketing for their homes on advertising channels. Their most popular channel is Zillow. Through this Channel the prospect must fill out an online application to be approved, once Jared, Chris, or Craig approve, they become a lead and will be assigned to a consultant. I was in charge of the online applications, making sure they were processed correctly and if any more information was needed.

In addition, their other advertising channels such as BankRate, Quinstreet and Informa receive a great deal of interaction as well but for these channels I took more time updating their leads, clicks, and cost. I went back to the beginning of the year and was able to track what advertisements received the most attention from online viewers. We took into consideration the font, size and copy that was used to better their advertisements in the future. I recorded how many leads came from each ad, as well as clicks and the cost that Keystone was investing for each. Now their system is updated, and I can proudly say I was apart of it.

Right now I am working on a sign for Keystone Fundings front window to display property listings and interest rates.
