I was immediately drawn to your post because I am a big fan of TPD. It is interesting hearing the perspective of a former Tyler student who has switched to Art Direction. Similar to you, I sometimes worry about my design skills falling short especially at a place like TPD. It is such a different experience to work in a space with real projects unlike our classes especially alongside experienced designers. It’s reassuring to hear from students like you who are doing well at design companies. I think being challenged at work is such a good thing and really encourages you to produce the best work you can. I am so happy for you and I’m sure you’ve created some great work.
