I really enjoyed reading about your experience at Ethereal Farms, it sounds like such a unique and exciting internship, especially for your first one. I completely relate to what you said about working in a small company allowing you to explore beyond your main tasks. I’ve had a similar experience jumping across projects in my own internship, and it’s been such a great way to see how different departments work together. It’s awesome that you’ve gotten a head start on something that aligns so closely with your post-grad goals in publishing too! Also, being part of a book marketing project sounds super rewarding!

I love how you’re able to jump in between different projects and kind go develop a new set of skills from doing so. It sounds like you’re busy with the video editing for Instagram, making newsletters and getting involved in the book marketing. I agree with your point on internships being a great way to explore all the different aspects in a field, it seems like getting exposed to a bunch of different projects like the way you are can help someone in that aspect. Good luck with the rest on your internship!

Your experience sounds so awesome and like you really enjoyed it. How did you find this internship position? I feel like it is so unique, I would love to know where you found the opportunity. I also worked with a brand and their social media and found it so rewarding. I love your advice for those looking for internships. It can be a discouraging time, but being yourself helps. Great job, and happy you had such a great experience!

I mean, a luxury B&B with donkeys and outdoor cats? I can’t think of anywhere else in the world I would want to be, and it’s clear you’ve made the most of every opportunity there. But it sounds like you enjoyed the fine breeze of North Philly instead of working remotely- true versatility. I would love to hear more about the donkey milk from the newsletter you were sending out, It was impressive that you improved your video editing that way; captivating stuff. Best of luck in your feature endeavors.

I really enjoyed reading your post, I always like hearing about the places that some of my friends intern at because there are so many options in so many different industries. For instance, this is the first time I’ve heard of someone working for a bed and breakfast as well as the first time I’ve really considered publishing from an advertising perspective. I think it’s really helpful to keep all the different possible industries in mind when looking at career paths in advertising because there really is a way to work in absolutely any field! Thats one of the things that I love about the advertising industry, whatever you’re passionate about, there’s a really good chance that they need advertising is some kind of way. Great job!
