Inspiration In and Out

If there is one thing I have learned by interning at the Center City Public Relations agency Jenna Communications – it is that inspiration is everywhere. As a senior, I am at that time in my life where I do not know where to go from here. I have dreams and aspirations, but achieving them is a not-so-sure feeling. With the economy and lack of jobs available, it is hard to know what to do next with my career, life, and love for advertising. However, ever since working at Jenna Communications, I have been inspired in so many ways. It is assuring to gain that one thing many lack: hope. The women I work with, have given me this.

My boss has come a long way from where she began. Using all of her determination, she worked her way into the spotlight by being a news anchor on television. She worked all over at many different networks throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey, going anywhere she was needed. This was one of her greatest attributes: she followed where the success was located. Taking chances and gaining experience led her to her job in PR. After working at Atvanta, a very successful company, her boss needed her to get his name in the spotlight. She knew she could use her contacts to do so. This ultimately led her to love PR, and she gained the confidence to start her own company.

My boss worked hard and created a name for herself. She gained herself a huge network of followers and people she could use within her business. Many of her contacts from when she first started out in TV or PR, she still uses today. She is sure to keep in touch with everyone, never burning a bridge. My boss has an extensive network, and because of her success she is tied to many famous people in the media, which has become an interesting part of working with her. I love being exposed to all of the news anchors at the major stations and people in the media!

I am truly inspired by my boss. She went around in different industries until she knew what her calling was. But she never forgets that without TV, her success could not be close to what it is today. It was a great thing that she explored so many different careers. Knowing PR was what she should do, owning a company only seemed perfect. She is such a hard worker. She eats, breathes, and sleeps PR and how she can gain press for her clients. My boss is truly devoted, and has shown me that with hard work and dedication, and experimenting with different jobs, I can go far as well. I am truly inspired by her work ethic. This is one of the many perks of working with her at Jenna Communications, knowing that she is teaching me her ways as I go along.

My inspiration!
