Hi Morgan,
Your post stuck out to me because I feel that we have a similar goal when it comes to advertising. I agree with your statement that, “Those who work in advertising have the privilege to communicate messages and resources to empower others.” Advertising’s ability to empower and inspire audiences is the reason that I want to pursue a career in advertising. Pharma advertising in particular is inspiring to me because it allows people from all backgrounds and walks of life to be represented because everyone, regardless of their identity or level of ability, may need the products that pharmaceutical advertising promotes. It was great to hear about your experiences with the industry!

Hey Morgan. Lately I have been thinking about going into the pharmaceutical advertising industry as a career after graduation and that is why your blog caught my attention. That being said, it is a pretty scary time to work in pharmaceuticals because of the negative effects that some companies have inflicted on society, however its really nice to hear that going into this industry means you can potentially change the future of the industry for the better. Hi Morgan! That is so awesome to hear that you have truly found a way to express yourself and design with a purpose through advertising! Pharma has such a strong stigma about how boring and intrusive it can be since we are flooded with thousands of ads on a daily basis without even realizing it, but Digitas really does do a great job at shutting that stigma down. I accepted my first pharma internship for this upcoming summer and I’m even more excited to get started now that I hear how great your experience was in this industry!
