I think that most people in advertising shouldn’t be in it for the money because it probably will never come, at least on the agency side of things. I agree with what you said about the culture of a company being more important than the pay. I love that your company recognizes the importance of time off and work-life balance. That being said I do believe that companies should invest in their employees and money is a part of that. I guess it requires a balance.

It’s inspiring that you are realizing now how important it is to thoroughly enjoy your job. Most student right now only care about making enough money to pay off their loans, i am guilty myself. I found at my internship that I really enjoyed my coworkers. Even though it was unpaid it didn’t feel like a waste of my time because i really enjoyed their company and I learned a lot. So I definitely agree with you that it’s not just about the money.
