Hi! I’m May Dougherty, a senior at Temple University, and the Marketing and Social Media Coordinator at Tree House Books, a non-profit giving library dedicated to bringing books into the homes of underprivileged communities and building a family of readers, writers, and thinkers.
For my internship opportunity this year, I got the chance of interning at the Painted Bride Art Center in Old City Philadelphia. I feel that I have truly learned what it means to work in the world of nonprofits.
Now that I only have about a month left of my internship, I figured I would make this post about sharing my thoughts about my internship, as well as give some advice on how to succeed at an internship.
