Find a Place With Good People Who Like to Work Hard
Picture this: My Summer Internship was coming to a close. I found myself reflecting on the Summer I had at Brian Communications. The people I met, the projects I worked on, the experiences I got to have. I was actually quite sad to leave. I’d found a place full of individuals who enjoyed being around one another, while still prioritizing work and creating change in the industry. Luckily, I was granted another semester at Brian. This semester has been different, with a smaller cohort who have differing schedules. I miss the Summer with my five fellow interns, who all became…

Advice, Thoughts, and Feelings for First Time Interns
Beauty Meets Business After Failing
My name is Reagan Zemgulis, and I had the pleasure of interning at The Color Room, a high-end hair salon in Rittenhouse, Philadelphia. I spent the 2023 Summer and Fall period with the company working in-salon on their bridal marketing, social media, and ambassador program. I am currently a senior graduating in the Spring 2024. My focus in Klein College has been Brand Strategy and Research. Working at my first internship in marketing/ advertising, I never would have dreamed of being in a gorgeous hair salon. In the spur of the moment, I came across this new hair salon where…
Interning at Temple
During the fall semester, I have been interning for the Department of Kinesiology in the College of Public Health here at Temple. I help manage and run the social media of the department. I build and curate content and the creative behind it. I study the target audience and use this knowledge to better our content. One of my bigger projects this semester has been building a social media campaign to advertise the subject code name of the physical activity courses. The courses are widely popular across the entire University, not just the Kinesiology students. This tasked me with finding…
To Both of My Internship Employers, Thank You!
My Summer Internship Working for SHRM
So far, I have learned a lot from this internship. This experience has taught me what real-world work environments are like which I never really experienced before. It comes with a lot of stress and things can be fast passed, but it is rewarding. The most positive aspect I got from this internship is how SHRM treats its workers. I feel very comfortable in the workplace and as if I can ask my managers any questions without any worries. The experience itself is not quite what I thought it would be. I came into the office thinking that all of…
Marketing Intern
Last week, I started my new position as a marketing intern for Modern Luxury Media working for Philadelphia Style Magazine. If you are not only into the marketing world, but has a passion of anything luxury, weddings and style then this internship would be a great fit for you. There was a two step interview process, and they made sure to let me know right away that it was for a college credit only! Since I am living out of the city, they were lenient enough to allow me to work a remote schedule with only one day in office.…
