One of my responsibilities in my internship with the English Department was to organize the alumni newsletter. This is the primary contact between alumni and the Department. It highlights several professors and honors students for academic achievements. My role in this newsletter this semester was to make sure the printing company had everything they needed, the distribution company received the newsletter and of course, to make sure everything went out on time. The idea of teamwork at a fashion magazine is learned during the first shoot as an intern that you work on. A fashion editorial feature begins with the inspiration and ideas of the fashion director. Following up with the research of great “looks”, appropriate photographer, the scouting of gorgeous models, and the finding of an excellent location. Internship nearing the end.

So since the semester is almost over, my internship director has given  me the opportunity to come up with my own seasonal event for the company. Cities2night provides over ten different events over the year, from a huge New Years Party to a bowling tournament. Favorite Project

My favorite project during the entire internship was for a section of the store called ‘Diener’.  This part of the store is where home goods are sold, bath towels, plates, etc.  The concept was a kind of 1950’s diner feel.  Some of the things we made were paper cups cut and sewn together with bright red thread and placed as a display along the wall, paper red and white checkered place mats on the tables that held the kitchenware, and giant towering spirals of paper napkins placed on wooden dowels.  The wall of this section of the store was painted…

I couldn’t be luckier to be an intern at LevLane. The experience I’ve gained in the past three week overshadows months I may have spent elsewhere. I’ve been fortunate enough to meet and learn from some seasoned veterans in the business. Black Friday: Survival of the Fittest

Today is one the busiest travel days there is. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and tomorrow night is Black Friday. I can appreciate a good deal as much as the next person, but I don’t care for Black Friday. Recently at my internship at ReminderMedia, all of the interns were given a set of standards that we are all at this point expected to meet each day while doing any given task. Real Estate and Timing

When I first began my internship I was really excited and optimistic.  There are so many possibilities when it comes to advertising, especially when advertising real estate.  I immediately came up with a long list of advertising possibilities.  I had a lot of ideas for new advertising strategies, and changes that could be made to the current efforts, as well as ways to more effectively use the mediums traditionally used for advertising real estate.
