Waddup Temple Ad!
For the past few months I’ve been working at Esquire Magazine in NYC. Working in their fashion closet has been an amazing experience. On the day to day I check in new items from designers and prepare them for photo shoots. In fact yesterday, I picked up a few suits from Armani’s 5th Avenue store for an upcoming cover featuring everyone and their mother’s favorite actor, Mr. Clooney. Let’s just say, those bags were a little too heavy for the height of my heels.
As cliche as it is to say, these past couple of months have taught me more than I ever imagined.Working closely with Esquire’s fashion editors has given me major insight into the small world of fashion. It’s taught me the importance of maintaining business relationships as well extending those business relationships into friendships. How else do you think they get all of that free stuff. Jokes aside, working in the fashion closet has proven there’s a lot more work that goes into fashion styling than putting pretty clothes on pretty people. It’s a business, and I love being a part of it!
