Inside My Creative Marketing Internship

Inside My Creative Marketing Internship

This semester, I’ve been interning as a Creative Marketing Intern at ABC Title Agency, it’s in Central Jersey, and honestly, it’s been such a cool experience. When I first started, I didn’t even really know what a title company was or what they did but now I could probably explain it in my sleep. Basically, we handle the behind-the-scenes part of buying or selling a home, making sure everything’s legal and official. My job has been all about helping the company get more visibility online through marketing and creative content.

What I’ve learned So Far

This internship has taught me a lot about how much strategy goes into marketing, especially for a company that isn’t super well-known yet. I used to think marketing was just posting nice-looking stuff online, but now I get that it’s really about consistency and connecting with people. I’ve learned how to plan content, run campaigns, and actually track what works and what doesn’t. I definitely found that I like the creative side of marketing the most, like designing posts, writing captions, and coming up with campaign ideas. It’s like mixing art and communication, which fits me perfectly. I think this made me more sure that I want to stay in the digital marketing and branding space after graduation.

Inspirations

One of the best parts about ABC is definitely the people. My supervisor, Malik, is super encouraging and always gives honest feedback. I also met a few agents and other team members who really hustle hard, and it’s motivating to see how passionate they are about what they do.

My Expectations & Advice for Future Interns

Was it everything I expected? Not exactly, but in a good way. I thought I’d be doing just small intern tasks, but they actually let me take on real projects. I got to help plan local campaigns and make social content that people actually engaged with. If I could go back, I’d probably speak up even sooner and pitch more ideas early on instead of waiting to feel “ready.” For anyone starting their first internship, I’d say don’t be afraid to ask questions or share your ideas. That’s how you really learn and stand out. Also, make sure you’re paying attention to how the business runs, not just your part because it helps everything click.

What I Gained from the Experience

Looking back, I gained a ton from this experience, from better communication skills to understanding real-world marketing tools like Canva, Meta Business Suite, and Acqutitle. But the biggest thing I got out of it is confidence. I now know that I actually belong in this field, and that I can make an impact with my ideas!
