My Intern Experience at Finch Brands
Hello everyone! My name is Abigail Cane, and I’m a rising senior at Temple. My major is in Advertising with a concentration in Brand Strategy and Research, and I have a minor in Public Relations. For the past couple of months, I’ve been interning at Finch Brands, a brand consulting agency in the heart of Philadelphia.
My role at Finch Brands is titled ‘Fashion Inights Intern,’ and I presently work in the Insights Department. I have two mentors who have helped and welcomed me into the process: Regina Amoss, Insights Strategist, and Luke Revitsky, Insights Director. Both of them have been inspiring leaders and have been very helpful in my transition into working on projects and introducing me to the company culture.
The main priority of my role is helping the GAP Inc. team on an ongoing project to assist with the marketing inspiration and design Spring and Summer 2025 seasons for Athleta, Banana Republic, and Old Navy. My daily tasks consist of gathering information and photos from Instagram handles and organizing them based on occasions and style. From then, at the end of each month, I help with the slide decks by organizing each of the pictures for each different brand. These slide decks are then presented to the clients that are a part of GAP Inc.
From my experience so far, working within the Insights department has given me more interest in joining it in the future. After working with the team and understanding what they do behind the scenes, I see how much value they bring to clientele, and the research used to back up campaigns piqued my interest. I can’t wait to see what else I work on in the future while interning at Finch Brands and the skills I’ll gain that will guide me into the advertising industry after graduation.
