Temple Ad Club welcomes everyone back for Spring Semester with many exciting events!

Hello everyone! On behalf of TAC, we hope that everyone had a pleasant  break. It is good to be back though! TAC has a lot to look forward to this semester.

First of all, our general board meetings will be kicking off next Tuesday, January 25. The time and location has been changed. Meetings will now be held every Tuesday in room 220 of the Student Center from 4:30-6. TAC Agency will be held on Wednesdays 4:30-6 (undetermined location) and NSAC is still Tuesdays and Thursdays, 3:30-4:50. Please come out and make an appearance!

TAC had an amazing time at Ogilvy and Big Spaceship before the holiday break. The club learned a great deal about the various departments at both agencies. We were fortunate enough to get a look at the “big guys” in the world of advertising. Spending the day in Manhattan and Brooklyn was definitely a nice way to end the semester.

And of course – TAC has a lot to look forward to for the spring! On Thursday, February 3, TAC is going ice-skating! If you are interested in attending, here are the details: there are 25 spots open. The cost is $10 a person (covers skate rentals) and TAC will be providing subway tokens. We have not yet decided what time or where we will all be meeting before hand, but listen out for this information. It will be a fun way to kick off the semester!

Also, community service will play a large role in TAC’s agenda this semester. We are looking into having a food drive and coat drive. Relay for Life is an important event we take pride in – and that is coming up soon as well! We will also be raising money for cancer by selling “friendship” bracelets. We will keep you posted as to where you can buy these. Guest speakers from the ad world, agency crawls, internship q & a’s, as well as advertising track information are all in the mix. Yay!
