All good things must come to an end…
PHL17 has been a very fun and rewarding experience. After only a week of interning, I found my own artwork on the side of a Septa bus! A few weeks later, I worked a meet and greet with Charlie Manuel for the clients of the station, got pictures with the cherished Phillies’ trophies, and did a Better Philly segment. PHL is a small station and during my sales internship with them in the summer, and my creative internship with them this semester, I feel like I became part of the team.
For Halloween we had an awesome party where we all came to work dressed up. Charlie Brown, Gumby, Waldo, and a “Cereal” Killer were among the attendees, and I was a gypsy! There were contests and a skit (a poetic one that I took part in) and a feast that no one could resist. The station seems almost like a family, and I hope that I can be a part of it in the future.
Recently, I have been working on the holiday card for the station, which has been approved and sent out for printing, I also worked a bit in after effects, and edited a snipe for a pizza hut contest which is currently being aired. Another project I have been working on is a letterhead with the new logo, since PHL17 dropped the “my” network from the name. Starting my internship with the station this fall has also given me the opportunity to help the station update their halls with new artwork and signage to accommodate the Phillies and new Logo. Out with the Old and In with the New! I feel so fortunate to have had a hand in updating PHL’s image, and hope that sometime soon I can join them again.
See me here for PHL events!
