First month in
It’s been about a month since I started interning for Harmelin Media. At first I was not so excited about my internship. I wasn’t excited to be working outside the city, in Bala Cywnd, and I wasn’t so excited for the commute. I was used to interning for companies in NYC where the offices and atmosphere are at a faster, more upbeat pace. But as time has gone on, I am actually pretty happy to be interning for Harmelin. Harmelin is more low key then the other companies I interned for. Everyone is friendly and willing to answer any questions. It’s extremely refreshing.
The assignments I am given to work on are definitely giving me good experience into the media buying/planning process, but to be honest, at times I find it’s kind of boring. I don’t know if its because its only been one month into the internship or if its because the work they are giving me is a lot of prep work. From this internship I am learning more and more what I like about the business and what aspects of it I want to be involved with. One thing I miss from my previous internships is the creative assignments I was given. But all and all I am getting good experience and I am getting to see a different side of the business I haven’t seen before.
