My B2B Digital Marketing Internship at Clincierge
For the spring semester and summer of 2022, I interned at Clincierge, a global clinical trial patient support company based in Philadelphia. This company has the business model of B2B, or business to business. Providing a unique opportunity to learn about paid and organic social media marketing and brand strategy. Clincierge has taught me many lessons. The first, and perhaps the most important, is it taught me to be confident in my abilities and to always ask questions. Clincierge as an organization fostered a welcoming atmosphere where every person’s voice was valued. Considering this was my first internship in college, I was beyond lucky to experience this work environment. I also learned how to optimize social media performance for a B2B (business to business) organization. As I am the first intern this company has hired, I had the experience of multiple departments and have more “real life” responsibilities. I became HubSpot certified and certified in Good Clinical Practice.
The main responsibility of my internship is creating unique and authentic social media content for Clincierge (in the form of social media posts, videos, blogs, and organic advertising) to drive engagement, brand awareness, traffic, and conversion to the site. Other responsibilities I had were competitive research/analysis, researching industry trends, media targets for new social campaigns, track and present social analytics/results with the internal marketing and sales team. What excites me most is gaining real life experience in my area of study, learning how I operate in a hybrid-remote work culture, and my professional communication skills are exponentially increasing. Moving forward in my professional journey I want to experience digital advertising in an agency setting, comparing it to my in-house experience at Clincierge. I am so grateful for everything I have learned during my internship and what I am continuing to learn from Clincierge and my marketing team.
