Ready for Blast Off
Hello! My name is Maria Batyko. I am a Senior Advertising major with a Concentration in Account Management. For any other seniors out there graduating in a few short weeks, congratulations!
For my internship this semester, I was in the Account Management department at ChatterBlast Media. ChatterBlast is a digital marketing agency that focuses on strategy, social platform management, high-impact creative campaigns and multimedia design. My experience taught me a variety of things, such as, time management, new skills, independence, how to manage projects and timelines, and hard work.
Making connections was the most positive aspects of the business that I discovered through my time at ChatterBlast. I have built professional relationships with the CEO, senior management, employees, my supervisor, clients and fellow interns and others around the office. These relationships are special because I know I can turn to them for guidance, advice, recommendations and references in my future. It’s comforting to know that we will continue to foster our professional relationships long after my internship has ended.
One specific person that I will keep a close professional relationship with is my supervisor at ChatterBlast. She has taught me that all work is valuable. She did a great job showing me how my tasks as an intern contributed to the project as a whole. She inspired me to grow more confident in my professional self, making me realize that my work went unnoticed, it was valued and I was important.
The experience was everything I thought it was going to be. It was a great stepping stone to my future endeavors. After having an interview at ChatterBlast, I left thinking it would be a good fit me and a place where I can learn, grow and have fun. I learned more about the internal work flow of an agency, I grew confidently in my professional self and I had fun attending a client event and the 10th anniversary of ChatterBlast.
Congratulations on completing your internship! I absolutely agree with you that the professional relationships you make are the most rewarding part of the experience. I felt the same way during my internship this semester. The knowledge and confidence you gain from the people you work with and learn from is truly invaluable.
