small agency lifestyle
Over the past few months, I’ve worked as an account management intern at Vue Health, a pharmaceutical advertising agency located in Boston. Throughout my experience, I’ve been provided the opportunity to gain hands on experiences, varying from direct communication with clients, to observing internal meetings and reviews, as well as meeting with the head of each department in order to develop a deeper understanding of how an agency functions. I was also given an intern project, which requires me to research American Society of Hematology (ASH), an upcoming hematology conference that each VUE client attends annually. My research requires knowledge about each client’s past goals and creations during the conference, as well as being informed on how they were received by doctors and sales representatives. The entire agency is extremely welcoming and passionate in ensuring that my experience at the agency is meaningful and that I can learn as much as possible. I’ve become familiar with Veeva, Sifter, and Page Proof, which are all platforms used by the agency while creating advertisements for clients. What has been the most rewarding part of my internship thus far is having the opportunity to work on ads from kick-off to publication, and being able to witness the impact they make on doctors’ and patients’ lives. VUE is dedicated to making a positive impact on people’s lives, and it has been inspiring to watch. Prior to my time at VUE, I was skeptical of having my first agency experience in a small company, but I was quickly proven wrong. Vue’s small but powerful size has given me every tool possible to achieve success, as well as observe meetings with team members that have years of experience under their belts.
