Having Fun with Social Media

Hi, guys! It’s Nicole. On my pervious post, I talked about AG’s business and my first day experience with AG. On this post, I would like to talk about my thoughts on AG’s Social Media Strategy Plan. Although I was hired to be an Art Direction intern, I got to touch the side of social media as well.

I am not quite a social media person. I used to be very active on social media, but as I grew up, I just want to lie back and experience the world. I’m happy that I get learn a bit about the social media side of a business. It is totally a different thing than I thought. First thing first, we should never post the same materials on all the platform. Each platform should have its own unique posts and its own materials. I figured Facebook is the best to post informative materials, such as blog posts, minute long videos, and surveys. It is a platform where people want to get educated. As for Instagram, it is used to show the culture of the company. You can post pictures and dorky 15s video. Have fun with it! Twitter, it is where we connect with other chefs or any professionals related to the food industry.

Right now, I’m brainstorming fun projects that can work on different social media platforms. For example, a fast forward video of walking around Reading Terminal Market, a food hack video introduced by our chefs, blog post about our farm vendors. etc.

Do you guys have other great ideas to promote our brand in social media?

  1. Nicole, great social media insights! I love your idea about the fast forward video around Reading Terminal Market. I feel like that’s how most people feel when their inside Reading Terminal as well- once you step inside it’s like everything’s moving at a quicker pace. As you mentioned, Facebook can be a great outlet for surveys- you could do a survey relating to people’s favorite foods or even what they would like to see from you guys in the future to add an interactive element to your posts! While I’m not working on social media here at Digitas Health, I still can respect the importance of it. Social media is a great way to develop your brand persona, and have fun while doing it!
