In my last post I talked about March of Dimes’ Prematurity Awareness Month and how we wanted to get buildings lit up in purple to spread awareness about the problems of premature birth.  The summer intern started the process and I did all the pre-lighting follow-ups and will be doing all of the post-lighting follow-ups.  I’m also taking pictures of the buildings for March of Dimes to keep in the office as well as send to the companies that helped us out by lighting up their buildings.

I took a drive the other day to get pictures of two of the locations that were lit up.  The other five are in the metropolitan area so I will get those pictures next week when all of them are lit up.  I drove to Kelly Drive and got a picture of the Strawberry Mansion Bridge and then to City Avenue and got a picture of the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.

The Strawberry Mansion Bridge looked amazing.  It was such a great feeling knowing I contributed to getting it lit up, so everyone who drives Kelly Drive at night sees the purple for Prematurity Awareness Month.

I wish I had a better camera but it still came out as a cool picture and my supervisor was very impressed and excited about it.  I made a flickr account so she can look at the other pictures I take when she is out of the office next week so that way we will be able to choose the best pictures of each location and get them printed out even though she isn’t there.  Here is the link for you to all enjoy.  It will be updated sometime next week with the other five locations.  https://www.flickr.com/photos/55839341@N06/sets/72157625244496817/

I can’t believe I only have about 2 weeks left there.
