Hi all! My name is Isabelle Chausse and I am a senior at Temple with an advertising major and copywriting concentration. For the past few months, I have been working as an intern at Ceisler Media and Issue Advocacy. Ceisler is a full-service public relations and issue advocacy firm located in Center City.

Ceisler works with a variety of clients in and around Philadelphia to figure out who their messaging should be targeting and what that messaging is going to say. My experience at Ceisler revolved around this. I got to work closely with a variety of people in different positions to learn as much as possible about the world of PR. I had so many amazing coworkers who inspired me to work harder as well as smarter. Always being treated as a peer was an important part of the program that I appreciated so much and was at the foundation of everything I did.

A large number of Ceisler’s clients are nonprofits, which turned out to be one of my favorite aspects of the internship. Having the opportunity to help clients that have a strong mission and inspiring purpose makes working an absolute delight. This is an aspect of the experience that I will definitely take with me, and one I will consider highly when looking at future opportunities.

From this experience, I have gained a newfound appreciation for all things public relations. As an advertising major, I was never fully educated on the PR industry in the classic sense. Through my time at Ceisler, I have learned that PR is so much more than its definition. It is a complex, dynamic, creative industry that I am excited to continue exploring.
