My Internship with The Lenfest Institute

My name is Gabrielle and this semester I had the pleasure of working at The Lenfest Institute located on Cecil B. Moore Ave. The Lenfest Institute at Temple University is a part of the North Philadelphia Workforce Initiative and is a community outreach program. Throughout my time with the institute, I was able to put my major into my work and develop advertisements. One of the projects I worked on throughout, was called Voices of the Community. This project was developed to interview residents in North Philadelphia and ask for their opinions on the current employment issues in the community. In order to kick this project off, I decided to create a marketing plan for the team along with advertisements for the community.

Throughout my internship experience, I had hands-on experience using excel to create databases, Adobe suite to create the advertisements, and I had to do some telemarketing tasks and gained communication experience as well. My internship this semester is one that I will always be grateful for and I would like to thank Temple University for partnering with this organization to create internship opportunities for Temple students.
