The brand that I decided to post about was Budweiser, because that brand has been known for it’s Super Bowl commercials for decades. The expectations are always high, and I feel like Budweiser usually mixes it up between funny commercials and sentimental ones (i.e. The puppy/clydesdale commercial). This year it went the funny route and used many celebrities like Seth Rogan, Amy Shummer, and Paul Rudd, as well as poking fun at the electoral campaigns. I feel like this was a wildly successful commercial that reached out to many demographics through highly recognizable people and comedy. Using an event like this for to advertise Budweiser directly reaches its target audience, seeing that most people at Super Bowl parties are probably drinking beer/ about to drink beer/ beer drinking folks.
